Obituary for Ernest Knight
Ernest Knight, affectionately known to family and friends as Shortdog/Kramer, went peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, April 2, 2015. The youngest child of Lena Holmes Knight and Lee Benjamin Knight, he was born November 4, 1970.
Ernest attended Nottoway County Public Schools.Â
Ernest was a loving and devoted father. He worked several jobs, one of them being with Velvet Textile for many years.
Ernest gave his life to Christ will he was in MCV Medical Center.
Ernest was preceded in death by his father Lee Benjamin Knight; his youngest sister, Doris Jackson; and nephew Bernard Knight., but leaves to cherish loving memories:Â his mother, Lena Knight; two daughters, Quardeisha Gordon of Blackstone, VA and Kayla Epps of Durham, NC; two grandchildren, Janasia and Jonathan Gordon; two brothers, James Knight (Mimi) of Jacksonville, FL and Lee Benjamin Knight, Jr. (Angie) of Petersburg, VA; two sisters, Janet Robertson (Robert) and Carolyn Knight (Kelvin) of Richmond, VA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and a loving devoted friend Robert Booth.
Funeral Services Wednesday. April 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cellar Creek Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.
