Obituary for Eldridge R. Robinson
Eldridge Royal Robinson, the son of the late Deacon Archildria and Bertha Dotson-Robinson entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was affectionately called “Roc”.
Eldridge started his education in Amelia County at Morven School. Later when his family moved to Powhatan County he attended Pocohontas School. At an early age he accepted Christ and was a member of Little Union Baptist Church, Amelia Virginia.
In his early adult years, Eldridge resided in New York City. He had various jobs within the City of New York. He loved going to baseball games at Yankee Stadium. Later he moved back to Powhatan County. One of his greatest hobbies was hunting with Town Hill Hunting Club.
Eldridge was preceded in death by three brothers & one sister; Joe, Frank, George & Geneva. He leaves to cherish fond memories: his sons, Eldridge Alvon (Boo) & Anthony (Tony) Franke, Sr. (Tiffany) , three daughters; Raquia Franke (Samir), Jackie Montanez Melony Franke (Christopher) , eleven grandchildren; Anthony Jr, Ty , Samia, Samir, Sakhi, Nazeer, Jahsier, Jayla, Joseph, Yasmin & Nicholas, five brothers; Charles (Barbara), James (Diane), Cleveland (Diane M), Sylvester (Darlene) and Pastor Ralland Robinson (Francine); three sisters; Vera, Ethel and Lottie (Floyd); sister-in-laws; Yvonne Dotson , Rosa Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Little Union Baptist Church, Amelia. Interment church cemetery.
