Eldorado Jackson, Jr., affectionately known as “Junior” and “Radar” departed his life on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. He was born on May 24, 1936 to Virgie and Eldorado Jackson, Sr.
Eldorado graduated from Dinwiddie Public School. He was employed at Fort Pickett in the metal shop, from which he retired in 1993. He loved playing baseball, going fishing, singing, hunting and riding his motorcycle.
Eldorado was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Robert Lee Jackson, Sr., Martha Jackson Edwards, Bessie Jackson Dorsey, Ruby Ann Jackson Hilber, Gracie Mae Jackson Beasley, Edward Jackson, Walter Jackson, Tony M. Jones, Thomas Jackson and Lee Jackson.
Eldorado leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted daughter and caregiver, Sheila Deese; a sister, Helen Tucker and a brother, MaArthur Jackson (Carrie), both of Richmond, VA; two granddaughters, Senitra Fowlkes (Marcus) and Sakeisha Williams; grandson, Joandre Deese; seven great grandchildren, Khateejus Fowlkes, Derrick Webb, Khaniyah Fowlkes, Chernizah Yates, Jovan Robinson, Khamiyah Clark and Khamariona Clark; sisters-in-law, Fannie Jackson, Clara Jackson, both of Dinwiddie, VA and Artinell Jackson of Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
Funeral Services Monday, July 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the Poplar Lawn Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackstone.
