Obituary for Edward Warren Cousins
Edward Warren Cousins, of Blackstone, VA entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Johnston-Willis Hospital. He was born on November 17, 1935, in Dinwiddie, VA to the late Haywood and Sarah Cousins. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Bernice Macklin; three brothers, Haywood, Jr., Lee Roy and Eugene Cousins; and one stepson, Anthony Tucker.
Edward joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Dinwiddie at an early age. He attended and graduated from Dinwiddie County Public Schools. Edward was a truck driver for several years. He was also employed with Taylor-Ramsey Corporation where he retired from after 42 years of dedicated service. Edward enjoyed spending quality time conversing with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of thirty-one years, Lena Tabon Cousins; one son, Wardell Cousins (Keosha) of Blackstone; one stepson, Artric Tucker (Menia) of Blackstone; and one stepdaughter, LaTrece Coleman (Daryl, Sr.) of Amelia. One stepdaughter-in-law, Audreynette Williams-Tucker. Two grandsons, Saveyon and Kavion Cousins of Blackstone; three step grandsons, Daryl Coleman, Jr. of Amelia, Torianzo and Taevhan Rose of Blackstone, and two step granddaughters, Jasmine Coleman of Amelia and Jahhke Berkley of Crewe. Mother-in-law, Annie Mae Tabon. One half-brother, Christopher Cousins of Augusta, GA. One sister-in-law, Odessa Cousins of Chesterfield and two brothers-in-law, Theodore Macklin of Maywood, IL and Jerry Tabon (Cassandra) of Richmond, VA. Two devoted friends, Ralph Brown and Gene Davis both of Blackstone; and a host of nieces, nephew, other family and friends.
Funeral Services Monday, September 23, 2019 at 1:oo p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church (Dinwiddie). Interment church cemetery.
