Obituary for Edward W. Booker
Edward William Booker, son of the late Deacon Samuel T. Booker, Jr. and Deaconess Hattie Dean Booker was born June 10, 1937. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Robert, Jacob, Allen, Samuel III and his nephew, Allen Booker, Jr.
Edward received his education at Russell Grove High School in Amelia, Virginia. He joined the Union Branch Baptist Church at a young age, where he continued as a member of the men’s choir. He also enjoyed cooking and singing.
Edward went home on October 5, 2019 to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one devoted brother, James “Snow” (Dorothy) Booker; four nieces, Sherilyn and Fonda Booker, Ishima (Greg) Thomas and Angela (Rydell) Harris; a host of great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services Friday, October 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Union Branch Baptist Church, Jetersville. Interment church cemetery.
