Obituary for Edna F. Morgan
Edna F. Morgan was born to the late James A. Foster and Flornia Epes Foster on July 24, 1925 in Nottoway County, Blackstone, Virginia.
Edna received her early childhood education at Mt. Gazerine School, and graduated from the Nottoway Training School in Blackstone.
Edna joined Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church under the pastorate of the Reverend L.A. Wilson.  She faithfully attended Sunday School, sang in the Junior Choir and served in the Missionary Ministry.  She served well as president until her health began to fail.
Edna was married to the late William (Willie) Morgan.  One daughter, Linda Diane Morgan, was born to this union.
After several hospital and nursing home stays, Edna moved to New York to be with her daughter whom she affectionately called Diane.  Three years age she became a resident of Schnurmacher Nursing Home where she remained until her passing on Monday morning, October 10th, 2011.
Edna leaves to treasure her memories 1 daughter, Linda Morgan Glover of Mt. Vernon, NY, a God-Daughter, Clara Lisa Hester, 3 sisters, Melson, Doretha, and Elizabeth, 1 brother Roy (Evelyn), nephew James E. Foster (Jimmy), sister-in-law, Revernd Evelyn Morgan and brother-in-law, Trustee Gilbert Morgan.  Edna was blessed with many great nephews, nieces and friends whom she cherished, especially Remee Herndon, great niece, whom she adored.
Edna was also blessed to have some compassionate nurses to care for her during her stay at Schnurmacher.  Karen Montella, R.N., Rosita Stephenson, and Elizabeth Bennett, C.N.A.'s.  Edna had a sense of humor that she loved to share with these ladies.
