Obituary for Edith B. Wynn
Edith Bertha Jones Wynn entered into eternal rest on February 20, 2013 at W.S. Hundley Extended Care Facility in South Hill, VA. She was born April 9, 1923. Edith was the daughter of the late Walter and Maddie Jones.
Edith was the wife of the late Thomas Wynn. She was predeceased by three brothers, two sisters, several sisters and brothers-in-law.
Edith was raised and went to school in the Camp Pickett area and moved to the town of Blackstone where she raised her family. She was a member of Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church.
Aunt Edith, as she was known to everyone, loved her family and friends wholeheartedly. She loved when family and friends would come to her house, she was always sad when they left.
She is survived by her son, James (Jimmy); daughter-in-law, Francine; two grandsons, Tremayne and Terrell; three great grandchildren, Nadis, DeAisha and Trevell; her sister, Beatrice Fowlkes; sister-in-law, Ruth Eppes; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Sunday, February 24, 2013 @ 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackstone.
