Earl Nathaniel Stokes (Boosie) entered into his new home in Heaven on Monday, April 24, 2023.
Earl Nathaniel Stokes, known as Boosie was born to Lue Wesley Clark and Leanna Stokes Clark in Blackstone, VA.
At an early age Earl joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in Blackstone, VA. He graduated from Luther Foster High School.
Earl served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran, and was also a part of the National Guard. He worked for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company in Petersburg, VA for several years.
Earl loved his cars and clothes, and was always clean and looking sharp.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lue Wesley Clark and his mother, Leanna Stokes Clark; two brothers, Theodore Clark and John Stokes.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his sons, Christopher Stokes (Niafa) and Chris Hamlin (Rolanda); one daughter, Anika Johnson; six grandchildren, two devoted Derek Johnson and Da’Zeonia Stokes; three great grandchildren; one brother, Terry Clark (Sherry); one sister-in-law, Julia Stokes; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins; a devoted niece. Linnell Rose; and a special friend, like a brother Meriweather Evans.
Funeral Service Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 2:00PM at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
