Obituary for Dorothy P. Quarles
Dorothy Pauline Quarles entered into eternal rest on January 10, 2017, at the age of 75 in a nursing facility in Maryland. Daughter of the late Bessie Mae Quarles and Robert Johnson, Dorothy was born November 3, 1941. She was the second oldest of four children.

Dorothy did private duty nursing and loved her job. She later worked for the Prince George County Public School as a food sanitation worker in the cafeteria, from which she retired.

Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alice Quarles. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Randy (Christine Childs)Hicks of Maryland and John Ed (Diane) Hicks, Jr. of Blackstone, VA; one sister, Laura Lee Quarles Fowlkes of Blackstone: one brother, Thomas Quarles of Port Orange, FL; two grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 12:00 noon at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone. Interment private
