Dorothy E. Robinson was born in Amelia County October 27, 1955 as Dorothy Scott.
She attended Amelia County High School and earned her degree as a nurse at VCU.
Dorothy was first married in her younger years to John D El II, they had five children. Years after his passing she married Reverend Richard W. Robinson, Sr. (a great family friend).
She made her transition on Monday, September 26, 2016. after battling many complications associated with Lupus. Dorothy was preceded in death by both of her parents Alice O Tyler and Willy Jr Scott.
Dorothy has loving family that she leaves behind on this plane that will honor memories of her and her wishes, starting with her children, Tawanda El Armstrong (Joseph Armstrong), John D. El III, Justin El, Vincent El, and Eric El; grandchildren, Courtney Armstrong, Briahna El, Taylor and Tylor Armstrong; siblings, Author Lee Scott, Alvin and (Betty) Scott, Russell and (Veronica) Scott, John Lorenzo Scott, Michael and (Connie) Scott, Dale Scott, Danna Scott, and Terry Scott; aunts and uncles, Joanne Jennings, Frances Owens, Helen Royal, Reverend Alice Tyler, Gladys Person, Margie Owens, John Owens, Joseph Owens and Lawrence Owens; she also leaves behind so many who were dear to her including her devoted best friend and champion through different times and recent years, Cousin Milton Staples.
Funeral Services Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Promise Land Baptist Church, 11141 Winterham Rd., Amelia. Interment private.
