Obituary for Doretha T. Turner
Doretha Turner, 79 went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Born on July 11, 1937 in Kentwood, Mississippi, she was the youngest of four siblings, Georgia Turner, the late Wilma Scott and the late A.J. Robinson.

Doretha will always be remembered for her smile, sense of humor and her love for cooking. She gave herself freely, warming hearts and creating smiles with everyone she met.

In addition to her sister, Doretha was survived by two sons, Walter (Linda) Taylor of Virginia and Warren Taylor of LA; one daughter, Linda Taylor of AR; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Viewing and Services were held Monday, February 13 from 3 to 7p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment private.

W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home of Blackstone in charge of arrangements.
