Deshane Deshawn Henderson, Sr., mostly known as “Red” went home to be with his heavenly father on Friday, December 2, 2022. He was born on May 24, 1986 to Barbara Henderson and Anthony Stokes.
Deshane attended Nottoway County Public Schools. He was an all-around athlete just like his late brother “Tonyo”. He was currently employed at Wilkerson Aircraft Tires.
Deshane loved his family more than anything in the world. He was strong-minded, outspoken, dependable, and solid, but most of all real.
Deshane was passionate about music. He often wrote music with his daughter and was her biggest fan. He loved nice things from his jewelry down to his cars, but most of all he loved his children.
Deshane had the biggest heart, he would help someone before he helped himself. He touched every person that ever crossed his path. He has no idea how much he encouraged and motivated people to be themselves. He will be greatly missed.
Deshane was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Delores Stokes and Alberta Henderson; brothers, Antonyo Henderson, Sr. and Reco Hester, Sr.; uncles, Cecil and Wayne Stokes, Ulysses and Tyrone Butler, Keith Hicks, Richard Henderson; aunt, Charlene Henderson.
To carry out his legacy, he leaves his devoted wife, Rokeisha Henderson; children, NiAyla Henderson, Deshane Henderson, Jr. (DJ), Faith Henderson and Harmony Henderson; his mother, Barbara Henderson; father, Anthony Stokes; brother, Brandy Henderson, Sr. (Tearra); mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Sallie Washington; aunts, Annie Henderson, Brenda Hicks, Fannie Marshall, Evelyn Stokes, Edith Henderson and Tanya Carroll; uncles, Raymond (Carolyn) Henderson; great aunt, Thelma Cummings; sisters-in-law, Theresa Henderson, LaWanda Lanehart (Maurice), Tomeria Jordan (Rodney), Chavon Jones, Brittany Howard and Brittany Wade; a brother-in-law, Deshawn Fowlkes (Jo-Jo); a host of nieces, nephews, god children, cousins, family, friends and co-workers; devoted brothers, Ephreim, Darnell, Esmar, Kevin, John and too many others to name.
