Delois Lorraine Henderson-Obi, daughter of the late Fred and Jenny Mable Henderson was born August 25, 1951 and departed this life on June 11, 2018.
She was a graduate of Amelia County High School. Delois was a member of Ephesus Seven Day Adventist Church and Community Church in Richmond, VA.
She was employed by the FBI for four years, and Verizon (formerly Bell Atlantic) for twenty years as an administrative assistant prior to her retirement.
She loved teaching Sunday School, attending church services, gospel concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Chinazo Ikenna Obi of Richmond, VA; three Sons, Clarence Henderson (Lindsey) of New Market, VA, Darlington Obi and Chamberlain Obi of Nigeria; three Daughters, Denita Horton of Laurel, MD, Monique Perkins (Stanley) of Fredericksburg, VA and Chelsea Obi of Nigeria; three brothers: Fred Henderson Jr. (Gracie), Lonnie Henderson Sr. (Charlotte), Rex Henderson (Linda) of Amelia, VA and Michael A. Adebanji of Richmond, VA; two sisters: Joyce Morgan of Capitol Heights, MD and Viola Hiers of Washington, DC; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service Friday, June 15, 2018 at Peasant Grove Baptist Church, Amelia. Interment church cemetery.
