Obituary for Delois G. Williams
Delois Gray Williams joined her eternal God to rest in His everlasting arms on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. She was born in Nottoway County, VA on May 16, 1947 to Mary Gray Campbell of Nottoway. She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Charles Gray.

Delois was educated in the schools of Nottoway County and was a graduate of Luther H. Foster High School. She was also a graduate of Allen’s Beauty School, Crewe, VA. She honed her craft and became an excellent beautician. She was employed at Craddock Terry Shoe Company for many years. Delois’ love of children led her to become a teacher’s aide at A.G. Richardson Elementary School and at Blackstone Elementary School.

Deacon Williams joined Shiloh Baptist Church after her marriage to the love of her life, John E. Williams. She was a dedicated member of the church and became the Chairman of the Deacons’ Ministry.

Delois was an avid bird watcher. She especially loved to watch the antics of the humming birds. She also loved to work in her flower gardens and loved to receive flowers as well. Another love was spoiling her great granddaughter, KaLaya.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, John E. Williams; children Eric V. Williams of Fairfax, VA and Brian J. Williams of Chesterfield, VA; granddaughter, DaCarra Williams of Chesterfield, VA; great granddaughter, KaLaya of Chesterfield, VA; brother, Edward Gray of Crewe, VA; devoted nephew, Lydell Gray of Blackstone, VA; sisters-in-law, Harriet Lowery of Philadelphia, PA, Jean Williams of Neptune, NJ and Selma Trower of Petersburg, VA; brothers-in-law, Walter B. Williams of Neptune, NJ, Raymond A. Williams of Hayward, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
