On October 5, 1974 Gary married Sandra Teresa Walton and began their life of love and the blessing of a beautiful family. Gary felt his biggest accomplishment in his life was his family.
Gary had a passion for sports; his favorite being football. A sport where he not only watched but participated in. He was captain of his high school football team, he play semi-pro football for the Hampton Hustlers and coached youth football in the community.
Gary loved the Lord. He always shared his love for the Lord to those whom he met. He became a Deacon at Springhill Baptist Church, a position he put much pride and duty into. Gary participated in several different ministries until his health prevented him from doing so. He loved people, especially children. His mission was to spread the word of God to you, even if you didn't want to hear it.

Christopher; his legacy of devotion to his children, Leslie Christopher of Richmond, VA, Reginald Christopher of Burkeville, VA, T'Ana Johnson (Adekule) of Crewe, VA, Travis Haynesworth (Carrie) of Hampton, VA and Stanley Christopher (Tanicia) of Burkeville, VA; his parents, Richard and Alice Christopher of Burkeville, VA; a brother Dennis Christopher of Burkeville, VA. For those who knew Gary there were no gifts sweeter than the blessings of his grandchildren: Teresa, Raven, Tyrek, Taylor, James, Adrian, Victoria, Anaya, Nicholas, Trenton and Falcon. He also leaves five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
