Obituary for David L. Craig, Jr.
David Lee Craig, Jr., departed this life on Thursday, September 24, 2020. He was born on March 15, 1955, to Dorothy and David Craig.
He attended Brunswick County schools and graduated from Brunswick Senior High School. He joined Mt. Gazerine Baptist church at an early age.
David was a hard worker, he worked at Velvet Textiles for years, also Manchester Tank of Sutherland, VA Global Textiles of South Hill, VA and Hendrix Midwest Farms of Blackstone, VA.
He loved going fishing, grilling out and spending time with his grandsons.
David was preceded in death by his parents, David and Dorothy Craig; a sister, Barbara Perry; and a brother, George Taylor (Conney).
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of thirty-two years, Christine Craig; three daughters, Charletha Craig, Teneka Craig and Glenda Blackwell; one son, Joey Blackwell; five grandsons, Omarion Patterson, Kaiser Patterson, Zayveon Palmer, Zyren Palmer and Joey Blackwell; eight sisters, Mary Morgan, Patricia Craig, Sandra Craig, Dorothy Gardner, Connie Jefferson, Annette Wilson (Larry), Frances Williams and Patricia Howard (Charlie); two brothers, Leon Craig and William Craig (Wanda): a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing Wednesday from 12 to 7PM. Graveside Services Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church, Blackstone.
