David was affectionately called Junnie by whom all he came in contact with.

Junnie accepted Christ in life and joined the Kings Highway Apostolic Church in Yonkers, New York and moved back to Virginia and fellowshipped with High Bridge Baptist Church and Gravel Hill Baptist Church.

Junnie was educated in the Luther H. Foster School system but had long life experiences as being a jack of all trades, brick masonry and carpentry. He was an outspoken person and a truck driver for many years with W.W. Warsing and Tyson Foods. He loved his dog Nugget.

At this time he met Lillian Carol Ann Hill whom he married and to this union Junnie had two children of his own that Carol helped him to raise, a daughter, Inez Dupree of Lithonia, GA; a son, Adrian Craft of Burkeville, VA; three stepchildren, Bernice Gonzalez of New York, Tracy Watson (Ricky) of Rice, VA.

Junnie met many people traveling all around Central Virginia to various churches singing God’s beautiful songs. Junnie and Brother Franklin Todd (deceased) started a gospel group called the Gospel Starlights, they had many members until illness came and they stop singing. The group started in 2001 and Junnie was the manager of the group.

Junnie was preceded in death by a stepson Douglas Hill; his brothers and sisters, Gladys, Robert, Easter, Ethel, Larry and Ronnie.

Junnie leaves to cherish, his wife of forty nine years, Lillian; his brother William; sister-in-law, Marjorie Washington; seven brothers-in-law, one stepson-in-law, Watt, Wayne, Warren, Calvin, Joseph Hill, Billy Sims and Jesse Shuler; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a special nephew and great niece, R.L.
