Obituary for Daniel Lewis Eggleston, Jr.
DANIEL LEWIS EGGLESTON, JR. departed this life on Friday, March 7, 2008 at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hanover, VA after a long illness. He was born September 9, 1950 in Jetersville, VA. He was one of five boys and two girls born to Daniel and Mary T. Eggleston. He received his early education at St. James School in Jetersville and attended Russell Grove High School. He accepted Christ and was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. After high school, Daniel joined the United States Army and served one tour during the Vietnam Era. Upon returning from the army he moved to Richmond, VA. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, David and Calvin. He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Latisha Eggleston of Richmond, VA; one granddaughter, Daveona of Richmond, VA; two sisters, Yvonne Carrion of Bellmore, NY and Janice Williford of Richmond, VA; two brothers, Ronald Trueheart of Rock Hill, SC and Darrin Eggleston of Lynchburg, VA; one brother-in-law, David Williford of Richmond, VA; a devoted friend, Roselyn Davis of Richmond; several nieces, nephews, and many wonderful family members and friends. Donald was a loving father and grandfather, a wonderful brother, and a warm, kind, quiet, and very caring person. He liked to fish and collect “Old School Music” Funeral Services Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 12:00 Noon from Pilgrim Baptist Church, Jetersville with interment in the church cemetery.Michael W.
