Obituary for Cynthia V. Baker
On Sunday, May 1, 2016, our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend Cynthia Virginia Baker, affectionately known as “Pooh” entered into eternal rest at the Johnston Willis Medical Center in Chesterfield, VA.
“Pooh” was born February 24, 1971 to Sarah and Jesse Baker, Sr. She was educated in the public schools of Amelia County. She was employed by Star Children Dress Company until her health declined.
“Pooh” enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her son Orlanden and taking a Sunday stroll to her favorite restaurant T.G.I.Fridays.
“Pooh” was preceded in death by her father Jesse Baker, Sr., and a son Brandon Baker, but leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: one son Orlanden B. Baker; mother, Sarah C. Baker; brothers Jesse Baker, Jr. and William F. Baker, Sr.; six nieces and nephews, Sherral Monroe (Brandon), Jasmine Baker, William Baker, Jr. (BJ), Shanece Baker, Jesse Baker, III and Angel Baker; two great nephews Quintrell Owens and Emmanuel Baker; one great niece Alani Baker; a host of aunts, uncles cousins and many friends, two devoted Monica Crawley and Wendy Anderson.
Viewing for Ms. Cynthia Baker will be Friday May 6, from 10am until 8pm.
Funeral Services Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Amelia County High School, Amelia with interment to follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia.
