Curtis Olanda Hubbard, Jr., 68 entered peacefully into God’s eternal rest at Chippenham Hospital on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was born on July 5, 1955, in Crewe, VA to the late Curtis O. Sr. and Dora Hubbard. He was preceded in death by his brother Barry Hubbard.
Curtis attended Nottoway Senior High School where he graduated with the class of 1975. In May of 1978 Curtis joined the United States Army where he served as a Machinist. During his tenure, he won distinctions and awards such as the Humanitarian Service Medal, an Overseas Service Ribbon, and was recognized as an Expert Rifleman.
After leaving the military, Curtis worked several jobs. Notably, he worked as a pipe fitter at Newport News Shipbuilding and a maintenance supervisor at Marva Maid and Smithfield Packing Company.
Curtis had a love for fishing, was a fan of old-school R&B music, and loved watching Westerns!
Left to continue his legacy is his lovely wife of 42 years, Annette and their five (5) children: Michael (Cenie), Curtis III, Natasha, Shannette, and Concheata.
He also leaves to cherish his memories: his sister Brenda Brite, his grandchildren Sharday (Willis), Markida (John), Alexis, Kyere, Aziyah, Malachi, Nova, Violet, Lamont, Sumiyah, Cadence, and Donald. He also has 4 great-grandchildren: Skyler, Willis, Julian, and Jia, two nieces: Veronica and Tonessie, a nephew: Timothy, as well as a host of cousins and friends.
