Obituary for Curtis L. Howell
Curtis Linwood Howell affectionately known as ‘Blue’, 71 of Powhatan, VA departed this life at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA on December 19, 2020. He was born September 23, 1949 in Powhatan, VA, one of four children of the late Emma Howell.
Curtis attended Powhatan County Schools. He worked for many years at the Alleghany Warehouse. Curtis accepted Christ an an early age and joined the Second Antioch Baptist Church.
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Francisco of Powhatan, VA; his mother, Emma Howell; brother, Archie Lee Howell; sister, Madeline Gregory; maternal grandmother, Irene A. Howell; maternal grandfather, David Howell.
He leaves to cherish his memory: devoted sister, Doris Scruggs; devoted brother-in-law, Lawrence Scruggs; one aunt, Barbara Ann Howell; extended devoted families, Goode, Eggleston and Jackson; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing Wednesday, December 23, from 12 to 7 PM.
Funeral Services Thursday, December 24 at 2:00 PM at Michael W. .Hawkes Funeral Home, Amelia. Interment Second Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Powhatan, VA.
