Obituary for Connie Elaine Hawkes
Connie Elaine Hawkes daughter of the late Deacon Howard and Deaconess Elizabeth Hawkes was born March 30, 1959.  She departed this life on June 30, 2015.
Connie joined Mt. Nebo Baptist Church at an early age.  She was educated in the Nottoway County School System and furthered her education in Richmond, Virginia obtaining a Secretarial Degree.
Connie was a very dedicated employee of VCU in Richmond, Virginia for many years.
Connie had a flair for cooking.  She was a blessing to be around.  She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Connie was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Curtis and Franklin Hawkes and one sister, Elsie Johnson.
Connie leaves to cherish her memories:  one sister, Delores Walker of North Carolina; one brother, Leroy Hawkes of Delaware; a special nephew, William Hawkes of New Jersey; countless other nieces and nephews; godson, Trevian Craig; cousins, other relatives and special friends, Lee and Connie Scott.
Funeral Services Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.
