Obituary for Cleopatra Morgan
Cleopatra Morgan (Mason) was born on October 1, 1927, to the late Hamlin and Ada Mason. On Wednesday, June 30, 2021, God whispered “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
In June of 1954, she met and married the love of her life the late Griffin Morgan, from this union a lovely daughter was born, Yvonne.
Cleopatra was educated in Nottoway County Public Schools in Blackstone, Virginia. After moving to Maryland, she continued her studies for nursing where she discovered her passion as a Lab Transporter, transporting patients to and from the lab for Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where she retired in 1995.
“Cleo” as she was affectionately called loved her family and they meant everything to her. She shared a special bond with her favorite and only grandson (Devon, Sr.) Cleo always looked forward to spending time with her niece she helped raise (Marcella), her great grands (Dekerra, Devon, Jr. & Deyonna), and great, great nephew (Jarius). She was genuine, faithful, kind and extremely generous. She would do anything for anyone at any time. She countlessly provided food, prayers, and advice for anyone who needed it. “Cleo” was famous for her rolls and sweet potato pies. She was a true and faithful servant, she loved the Lord and had to be in his house every Sunday for worship.
Cleopatra was proceeded in death by her (2) brother’s (Leroy & Hamlin, Jr) and her sister (Queen).
