Obituary for Clarence M. Wynn, Sr.
Clarence Manuel Wynn, Sr. was born January 21, 1930 to the late Reverend Richard B. and Irene C. Wynn. The Father quietly called him into eternal rest October 31, 2017 1:05 am at Hunter McGuire Veterans Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia.

Clarence received his education from Lunenburg High School and Virginia Union University majoring in Theology. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean War Era. He accepted the Lord at an early age under the leadership of Reverend C. H. Rhoade and became a member of Pleasant Oak Baptist Church where he served faithfully. During his early years he served as a Sunday School teacher and was appointed to serve the duties as a Trustee. In his later years he found peace and comfort in playing music for the senior choir. He especially loved listening to his children play music. His motto was, “They got their talent from me.”

Clarence was joined in marriage to Lelia H. Wynn on September 15, 1957. To this union three children were born, Clarence Jr., Clarissa, and Carlene.

Clarence retired from Imperial Processing Tobacco Company, Kenbridge, Virginia after fifty plus years of service. He was the last of the original employees hired when the company began.

Clarence was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Bessie, Henry, Annie Mae, George, Arthur, Ernest, Andrew, James, Bernice, Annette, and Alfred.
