Clarence Wade Green, Jr. found a new home over in Glory Monday, March 6, 2023. He joins his parents Clarence & Marjorie and brother Lawrence and they are going to walk, talk, sing and shout all over God’s heaven.
Born May 23, 1961 in Richmond, Virginia, Clarence matriculated through Richmond Public Schools, and received his Associates Degree in Business from Key College. Clarence worked in various capacities at Sears before leaving to join XPO Logistics, leaving due to illness.
Affectionately known as “Junior” Clarence was a big loveable teddy bear of a man with hardly ever a harsh word for those he encountered. He wore a sweet smile and was a welcoming presence, he loved a good joke. Junior was an excellent cook and baker, and we will miss his homemade cakes, sweet potato and coconut pies and his Turkey and dressing on Thanksgiving.
Most of all Junior loved his family and leaves sister and broth-in-law Grace & Sean Massenburg; sister Ruth Green, niece & nephew-in-law Chanell and David Smith, niece Cherelle Massenburg, great nephew Josiah Smith and nephew/God son Lawrence Green Jr. to cherish his memory.
He also leaves good friend and second mother Mildred Gaskins who took care of him through his illness. Clarence leaves a host of friends, and family to morn his death and celebrate his life.
Remains may be viewed at Swansboro Baptist Church 3801 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA 23224 Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 10am followed by the homegoing service at 11am.
