Clara joined Mt. Zion R.Z.U.A. Church at an early age. She attended Louisa County Public Schools.
Clara entered eternal rest on June 26, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. at Amelia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Amelia, Virginia.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Reverend Evelyn F. Morgan; one son-in-law, Trustee Gilbert L. Morgan; one sister, Ruth Lansdown; one brother-in-law, Gilbert Epes; one grandson, Walter Hester, III, all of Blackstone, Virginia; many nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by two close friends, Connie Bussey and Greta Stewart who diligently ran errands and transported her to doctor’s appointments and supported her whenever the need arose.
Viewing Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 12 to 7 pm. Funeral Services Friday, July 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home, Blackstone. Interment Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
