Obituary for Christophine W. Thompson
Christophine Wilson Thompson was gently lifted to a place of eternal rest on May 26, 2022.
Christophine, “Teenie” as she was affectionately known by many, was born on April 3, 1942 to the late Christine and Arthur Wilson. Christine joined Manassa Hill Baptist Church at an early age and spent her last tenure giving true worship and praise to God at Restoration Baptist Church in Amelia, VA. She received her education in Amelia County and graduated from Russell Grove High School.
Christophine was a devoted worker at the 360 Restaurant in Brandermill, and a supervisor at Brandermill Inn for many years,
Christopnine was preceded in death by her husband, George Thompson, Sr; grandson, Earl Woodley, Jr.; two sisters, Virginia Brooks and Pauline Booker; four brothers, Arthur, John, Ben and Lee Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memory: four wonderful children, George Edward Jr., Jenny Watson (Ronnie) of Amelia, VA, Sandre Woodley (Earl) of Blackstone and Keith (Clarissa) of Henrico, VA; four of whom she raised as if they were her own, Dana Thompson Perry, Devontae Thompson, Tim Thompson and Derwin Thompson; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Allyne Patterson of Amelia, VA; two brothers, Samuel Wilson (Gladys) of Amelia, VA and Robert Wilson (Christine) of Richmond, VA; one aunt, Louise Worsham of Amelia, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousin, other relatives and many friends.
