After being born in South Carolina he was then raised in Concord, North Carolina and Long Island, New York before moving to Amelia, VA, where he graduated from Amelia County High School in 2012.
After graduating high school CJ worked various jobs such as Glenwood Foods, Old Dominion Doors, and Cookout where he was working at the time of his death.
During life CJ loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his little brother Randy and two cousins Tynekia and Jasmine Goodman (All 4 known as The Brat Pack). CJ was an amazingly gifted artist who specialized in incredible drawings of various characters and people. Aside from his love of art CJ was a big football fan who loved nothing more than watching his Green Bay Packers play.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Nancy Mae Kirk and Grandfather Jimmie Rand Goodman. CJ left behind his mother Sonya E Goodman and brother Randy L Goodman of Farmville VA; his aunt and uncle Alice "Kathy" Goodman and Keith Goodman (Sue) of Long Island, NY; his aunt and uncle Jimmie R Goodman Jr. and Janice Lewis of Dover, Delaware; his girlfriend, Corie Ratliff and a host of cousins.
Funeral Service Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Little Union Baptist Church, Amelia. Interment church cemetery.
