Obituary for Charlotte J. Edmonds
On Friday, October 9, 2020, Charlotte Ann Jackson Edmonds surrounded by her family, peacefully slipped into eternal rest here on earth, but awoke in the presence and glory of the Lord.
Charlotte Ann Jackson Edmonds was born on April 10, 1955 in Amelia County Virginia, to the late William C. Jackson and the late Annie W. Jackson.
Charlotte was educated in the Amelia County School System. She was employed with Walmart Cooperation for over 20 years. Charlotte was a member of the Mt. Poole Baptist Church in Ford, Virginia where she was an active member of the Praise Team Ministry. She loved the Ladies of Praise. For all that knew her, knew she was a very classy dresser and she was rarely seen without her pearl necklace. Charlotte had a special way of touching people and offering comfort in many ways, one of which was sharing her delicious desserts and she was a wonderful cook. She cherished and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. More than anything, she enjoyed the opportunity to share how proud she was of her daughters and grandchildren.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, James “Peter” Edmonds. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Angela D. Edmonds, Blackstone, Virginia and Lisa Edmonds Jennings (Russell), Wilsons, Virginia. Three grandchildren, whom she ABSOLUTLEY ADORED, Makiya Fowlkes, Blackstone, VA, Jaquan and Javon Jennings, Manassas, VA. Four sister, Mary Woodley; Amelia, VA, Patricia Jackson, Willie Mae Jones and Tina Mason (Calvin) of Dinwiddie, VA. Two brothers, William Jackson, Hopewell, VA and Lorenzo Jackson (Christine) of Sutherland, VA. Four aunts, Margie Brooks, Shirley Jackson, Patsy Woodley, Virginia Woodley and Selma Jackson. One uncle, Deacon Frank Woodley (Rosa). Mother-in-law, Margie Mitchell, Sisters-in-law, Shirley Cousar, Elaine Lawrence and Betty Jean Lawrence. Brothers-in-law, Frank “Al”, Ricky, Dwayne Mitchell and Richard Lawrence. Two godchildren, Chamisa Royster and Quaman Hawkes. A host of nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “Aunt Char” and many cousins and friends. Devoted friends, Delphine Wills, Velma Jennings, Jeanette Starks, Debra Fuller and Meriwether Evans.
