Obituary for Charles "Legend" Eanes
Charles (Legend) Henry Eanes son of the late John Lewis Eanes Sr. and Lottie Foster Eanes departed this life on Thursday September 21, 2023, Amelia Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Amelia Courthouse VA.
Charles was born July 5, 1942 in Nottoway County. At an early age he was baptized at Fourth Mt Zion Baptist Church.
He attended Luther H. Foster school
For many years Charles was employed at Hubbell Incorporated in Shelton Connecticut as a truck driver. In 2007 he retired from Hubbell and moved back to his hometown
Charles (Legend) leaves five daughters and one son to cherish his memories: Brenda M. Reed (Thomas) of Burkeville VA, Heather Eanes (Bobby) of Jonesboro, GA, Jacqueline King, Charlene Eanes and Angie King of Bridgeport CT, Steve Austin of Dallas TX.
He is preceded in death two brothers, one sister and one puppy: John Lewis Eanes Jr.,,James (Steven) Edward Eanes, Mary Louise Eanes and Spike Legend.
Survivorship two sisters: Doris Lenore Eanes and Lois Marie Eanes of Crewe VA
Charles enjoyed watching reruns of Law and Order.He loved watching and participating in Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy as though he was on the show himself. He loved his baseball. His favorite baseball team was Boston Red Sox. And he loved playing the lottery. Charles has grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of family members which are cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends, to cherish his memories.

Funersl Services Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 1:00PM at Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4222Winningham Rd., Crewe.
Interment Family Cemetery, 3151 Winningham Rd., Crewe.
