Obituary for Charles L. Threatt
CHARLES LINWOOD THREATT was born March 24, 1954 to Norman and Mary Hayes Threatt. He was the youngest of eight children. He was preceded in death by his father Norman and sister Helen “Penny” Robinson.
He was educated in Amelia County Public Schools. He had a great love of hunting and sports, and was a member of St. James Hunt Club.
In 1981 he married Carolyn Oliver and from that union a daughter Tasheka was born. He was later baptized and joined Union Baptist Church.
He was employed as a truck driver for many years with various companies. In 1992 he married Hattie Melvin, no children were born from this union.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Hattie, daughter Tasheka (Melvin), his mother Mary, his aunt Annie and great aunt Bertha. Siblings, Lawrence, Dorothy, William “Pa” (Alma), Robert “Bob-B”, Thomas, Benjamin (Wendy); stepchildren, Geno Powell, Marquetta Melvin, Shawn Patterson, Sherrell Powell, Catina and Tia; step grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother-in-law and husband, Liza and Daniel Quivers; four brothers-in-law, Dale (Dianne Johnson), Barry (Debbie), Lyle (Anna), and Mitchell Bradby; one sister-in-law, June Bradby; and a host of great nieces and nephews; great, great nieces and nephews; cousins, other family members and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Presbyterian Church, Amelia with interment in the Branches Runn Baptist Church Cemetery.
