Obituary for Charles A. Fields
Charles Augustine Fields, age 79, Blackstone, VA, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his residence. He was born on January 10, 1943 to the late Charlie and Beulah L Fields.
Charles Attended Brunswick County Public Schools. He attended Little Mount Baptist church at an early age and baptized. Later in life he joined New Popular Mount Baptist Church, Nottoway, VA where he served as a faithful and dedicated member until his health decline.
Mr. Fields retired as a truck driver for Circle Sales, Inc after 35 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy, Wrestling, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Eloise M. Fields; three brothers, Robert Fields, DeVoy Fields, and John K. Fields; and a nephew, Joseph Burns.
He leaves to cherish memories of him, a loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Hazel Fields of Blackstone, VA; loving children, two sons and three daughters: Charles Fields (Denise) of Stafford, VA, Gary Hardy (Leona) of Clarkesville, TN, Kimberly Mason (Raymond Sr) of Hopewell, VA, Teresa Fields of Crewe, VA, and Christina Fields of Blackstone, VA; 10 grandchildren: Wesley Fields (Savior), Rikisha Gilliam, Raymond Mason Jr (Cheronda), Lacore Green, Ra’Mya Mason, Daesavion Hardy Sr, James Miles III, Noah Hardy, Cierra Fields, and Gabrielle Fields; 11 great-grandchildren: Jayden, Zell, Xavier, Robert, Cher’Rai, Jey’la, Elizabeth, Joseph, Eliana, Jeremiah; three sisters: Bishop Adeline Goode, Lonell Fields and Agnes Winston; four sisters-in-law: Bertha Hardy, Sallie Washington (Wayne) Donna Mason (Dirk) and Thelma Fields; three brothers-in-law: Earl Hardy (Wilma), Lawrence Hardy (Barbara), and Paul Hardy (Beverly); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
