Obituary for Brenda G. Epes
Brenda Marie Green Epes, daughter of the late Wilson and Margaret Green departed this life on December 26, 2007.  She was born October 26, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY.At an early age she joined Spring Hill Baptist Church and worked faithfully and diligently in the church.  She was on the usher board, taught youth sunday school, worked in the kitchen and with the Pastor's Aife Ministries.  In addition to that she was a member of the New life Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Raleigh Bagley, III, and attended two bible studies under the direction of Reverend Juanita Morgan and Reverend David Banks.  She attended Nottoway Senior High School.  Brenda worked for over twenty years at Taylor Ramsey.To cherish her fondest memories:  one son, Bernard Thomas Green and a devoted daughter-in-law Nina Marie Green; one grandson, Marcus Childs; two sisters, Nannie Watson and Jacqueline Green; one brother Wilson Green, Jr.; four aunts, Frances Wilson, Shirley Mitchell (Waymond), Leola Pritchett (Floyd) and Lillie Craig; one uncle, James Green; six nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 29 from 6  to  7 p.m.Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 30 at 2:30 p.m. from Springhill Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home of Blackstone was in charge of the arrangements.
