Blannie Lee Jones, Jr. was called home to be with his Savior on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Heritage Hall in Blackstone, VA.
He was born in Lunenburg County to Katie and Blannie Lee Jones, Sr. on April 30, 1934.
At a young age he joined Starlight Baptist Church in Kenbridge, VA. Later he attended Pentecost Church of God in Christ in Blackstone, VA.
Blannie worked for years at Patterson Lumber, Inc. until his health failed.
Playing Bingo was his hobby.Blannie was preceded in death by his parents; one son and one daughter.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of five years, Clara W. Jones; two sons, Michael Jones of Blackstone and Harold (Michelle) Worsham of El Paso, TX; four daughters, Della Jones, Bertha Jones, Linda Smith, all of Baltimore, MD and Cheryl (Willie) Lawson of Blackstone, VA; two granddaughters; four grandsons, two great grandchildren; devoted cousins, Charlie Jones, Viola Jones and Annie Queen Venning; six sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Pentecost Church of God in Christ, Blackstone. Interment Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone
