Obituary for Bishop Mitchell Tucker
Bishop Mitchell “Junior” Tucker, Pastor of Mount Olive Congregation Church of God, made his transition to his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Bishop Mitchell Tucker was born on January 2,1942 to the late Mitchell and Marie Tucker.

As a young boy, Bishop Mitchell Tucker joined Cluster Pines Holiness Church of Gretna, VA, under the leadership of the late Bishop Conway Mangum. Devoted to serving the Lord and continuing being a faithful servant of the Lord, Bishop Mitchell Tucker came to Richmond, VA to accept a job offer at Philip Morris where he worked for 32 years. While he resided in Richmond, VA, he was the Deacon of Mt. Olive Congregation Church of God. In April 1995, Bishop Mitchell Tucker answered his calling to become the Pastor at Mt. Olive Congregation Church of God where he continued to serve until the Lord called him home. Bishop Mitchell Tucker was a humble man who loved to serve the Lord and always lending a helping hand. 

Bishop Mitchell Tucker was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Deroy, and Walter Lee Tucker. To carry on his memory, he leaves his devoted wife of 40 years, Elder Stella Tucker; four children, Angela, Tony (Sandra), Travis. and Richard; eight grandchildren including a devoted granddaughter, Jaiona; one sister, Mae (Lawrence) Logan; two brothers, Leroy Tucker and Lewis Tucker; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in law; and a host of other relatives and friends among them their dear two aunts, Ada Mae Ward and Inze Bradshaw.

Public viewing Sunday, July11, 2021 from 3 to 7PM at Mt. Olive Congregation Church of God, 924 North 2nd. St., Richmond, VA 23219
Funeral Service Monday, July 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM at High Rock Baptist Church, 567 High Rock Rd., Rice, VA 23966. . Interment church cemetery.
