Berkeley A. Haskins of Burkeville, VA was peacefully rested on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Farmville Health and Rehabilitation in Farmville, VA. He was born on September 22, 1931 in Green Bay, VA to Wiley and Isabelle Haskins.
He was educated at Anderson School in Green Bay, VA where he received his accomplishment through the 7th grade. After receiving his communion at nine years old, he joined the Calvary Baptist Church, Burkeville and became cordial with the Holy Spirit.
Berkeley, at age nineteen gained employment at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital in Burkeville, VA where he acquired retirement for over twenty-five years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Wiley and Isabelle Haskins of Green Bay, VA; three brothers, Perkin (MaryAnn) Haskins of Baltimore, MD, William M. (Lucille) Haskins of Green Bay, VA and Lewis (Margaret) Haskins of Green Bay, VA; two sisters, Louise (John) Venable of Manasquan, NJ and Deliah (Clifton) White of Green Bay, VA. He leaves his two heartfelt children, Arthur L. Haskins of Richmond, VA and Heather R.H. Schinet of Burkeville, VA; four sisters, Isabelle (Julius) Stubbs and Ida (Robert D.) Hurte of Towson, MD , Edna Clarke (James D.) of Petersburg, VA and Emma Miller of Columbus, GA; one brother, Wiley (Doretha) Haskins of Paterson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
