Obituary for Barbara W. Delaney
God in His infinite wisdom, called Barbara Eloise Woodley Delaney home on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 4:12 p.m. at Beaufort Health and Rehabilitation Center, Richmond, VA. Barbara Eloise Woodley Delaney was born July 26, 1965, to the late Noah Aubrey and Addie Lee Giles Woodley in Amelia, VA. Barbara was also preceded in death by her brother, Calvin Woodley.
Barbara was educated in the Amelia County Public School System and was baptized at Union Baptist Church, Church Road, VA. at an early age. Barbara loved and cared for people in such a way, that she demonstrated it through various employment as a CNA and caregiver for over 30 years, especially to her late mother and mother-in-law before her health declined.
Barbara is survived by her husband, James Delaney, three children, Travis Woodley, Jamilla Woodley, Carlos Woodley, grandchildren, Kelvin Woodley, Kelonni Manso, Josiah Allen, Blaise Woodley, great grandchild, Kaiyel Brown, sister, Addie Coleman (Donald), brothers, James Woodley (friend, Gloria Wilson), David Woodley, aunts Ann Brown (Reverend Waverly, Sr), Mary Allen (Wilbur), Dorothy Giles; Yvonne Bates, Francine Morris, Diane Giles, uncles, Herbert, and Sammie Giles (Valerie), great aunt, Eula Roney, niece, Akeia Woodley , nephew, Daveon Woodley, Keon Woodley, mother in law, Vivian Delaney, God children, Kahlief Hope Jr, Lee Jackson, Jr, special close friends, Maxine Morgan, Lilly Mae Royal, Clemetine Bailey, Margaret Booker, Rev. Mary Dabney and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral Service Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 3:00PM at Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home, Amelia.
