Obituary for Barbara Patrick Mitchell
After a long illness our loved one, Barbara Delores Patrick Mitchell went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 2, 2017. She was born on February 7, 1958 to Ethel Jones and Franklin Patrick, Sr.
Barbara accepted Christ at an early age and attended Union Branch Baptist Church as her choice of worship.
At the age of thirty-nine, Barbara married the love of her life, Robert Mitchell. She enjoyed being outside, being around kids and doing crossword puzzles. All who knew her loved her dearly.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father Franklin Patrick, Sr., a brother Franklin Enright Patrick, Jr. and a sister Darlene Jones.
Barbara leaves to cherish loving memories: her husband Robert Mitchell; her son, Bryant Patrick, Sr. (Stephanie Skeens); stepson Antoine Woodley; her mother Ethel Jones (step-father, Franklin Jones); a brother Alonza (Lisa); a sister, Shirley Patrick; grandchildren, Bryant Enright Patrick Jr., Aviana Nevaeh Patrick, Skylar Monae Patrick, and step grandson, Xavier White; four sisters-in-law, Beatrice Johnson, Shirley Scott (James), Brenda Booker (Clinton) and Pamela Mitchell; one brother-in-law, Franklin Mitchell (Grace); other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Branch Baptist Church, Amelia with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
