Obituary for Barbara Jean Hardy
Barbara Hardy was called home by our lord and savior on December 11th, 2022. She was born on August 5th, 1952 to William and Mildred Booth of Blackstone, VA. She attended Nottoway Schools before working at Levis for 20 years and then Fort Pickett for 10 years. During this time, she married her childhood sweet heart, Lawrence Hardy. Barbara loved to play softball, play cards with family and friends and attend BINGO.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents William and Mildred Booth; special friend, Willie Epps; brother, Wilbert Booth; sisters, Delores Puryear, Alice Knose, Thelma Johnson; and grandson, Leslie Jones Jr.
Barbara leaves to cherish her Husband of 52 years, Lawrence Hardy; Sister Christine May (Michael May); brother, Tyrone Booth; daughters, Sharon Jones (Leslie Jones Sr.), Lori Coleman (Anthony Coleman Sr.); sons, Lionell Hardy Sr. (LaStarra), Lionel Hardy; grandchildren, Shacana Andre (Miguel Andre Sr.), Te’ori Coleman (Joshua Marable), Jalecia Harris, Anthony Coleman Jr. (Mia Patterson), T’shauri Coleman, Sa-Juan Nickolson, Lionell Hardy Jr., Li’zaiarah Wilburn, Lori’auna Coleman, La’torae Coleman and a plethora of great grandkids, nieces and nephews.
Viewing Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 12 to 7PM.
Funeral Services Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:00PM at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home.
Interment Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
