Obituary for Arthur Anderson
Arthur Anderson went from labor to reward surrounded by his loved ones on December 3, 2023. Arthur was a strong and devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grand father and friend.
Arthur was born May 17, 1945, to the late Howard and Daisy Anderson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Anderson and sister Ruby Epps, as well as his granddaughter Latoya Jackson, great-grandson Avery Anderson, two nieces Ruby Faye Swann and Lucille Anderson, and son-in-law Lawrence Jackson, Sr.
Arthur received Christ at an early age at Ridge Way Baptist Church, Dillwyn, VA and was a member there, until he join Gravel Hill Baptist Church, Jetersville, VA.
Now, if you know Arthur he loves giving God praise, he will be one of the first to stand up and clap his hands while songs are being song. He was a spirited energetic man and was the life of the party.
Arthur took value in raising his kids and being an example of providing for your family and he did that by working hard, whether working in the factory plant or planting trees as part-time employment, which added to his passion for planting plants and flowers in his yard. Also, Arthur worked for many years for Tyson until he retired.
Our hearts are saddened, but his memories are cherished by his devoted wife of 59 years Janet Anderson, and from their union of love on May 23, 1964, six sons and three daughters were born. Arthur leaves to cherish his memory; McArthur Anderson, Gwendolyn Jackson, Haywood Anderson (Paula), Maurice Anderson (Jerome -JP), Sheila Eanes (Thomas), Regina Anderson, Adam Anderson (Jamie), Clinton Anderson, and Matthew Anderson. Also, he leaves to cherish his memory, his sister-in-law Marcia Anderson, (wife of his brother Calvin), two brothers-in-law, Jennings, James, and Roy Marshall, sister-in-law, Diane Marshall-Wainwright, twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service, Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 1:00PM at Grave Hill Baptist Church, 7021 Genito Rd., Jetersville, VA.
Interment Family Cemetery, 210 Gully Tavern Lane, Burkeville, VA.
