Archie (Bubba) Lee Davis, Jr. was born April 12, 1958 to Anna Lee Davis and the late Archie Lee Davis, Sr.
He was educated in the Nottoway County School System. He was a member of Church of Christ in Richmond, Virginia.
He met and married Barbra Ann Walker of Nottoway County, to this union two children were born.
Archie worked for several companies as a truck driver, last being with the County of Henrico.
He was known for his humble and giving spirit. He was loved and respected, and will be greatly missed by all who came to know him.
He is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Barbra Walker Davis of eighteen years; three sons, Jamar Lee Davis, Levar Dominek Davis and DeWarren Fitzgerald; his mother, Anna Davis of Blackstone; grandmother, Inell Wilson of Kenbridge; his loving father and mother-in-law, James and Esther Walker of Nottoway; three brothers, Calvin Davis of Richmond, Stanley Davis (Tara) of Chester, and Tom Davis of Blackstone; four sisters, Frances Puryear, Evelyn Wallace (Robert), Lucy Quarles (Alonzo) all of Blackstone, and Mutrey Ingram of Crewe; seven aunts; three uncles; four grandchildren; a life-time friend, James Pritchett; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone with intement in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
