Obituary for Anthony T. Martin
ANTHONY TREMAYNE MARTIN, “Tremayne/E40” was born on January 7, 1989. He was one of four children born to Jennifer Robinson and the son of the late Antony Martin. On Wednesday, January 7, 2009, our beloved Anthony was suddenly taken from our midst.
He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Flower Hill Baptist Church in Amelia County, where he served on the Usher Board. He also was active with the Youth Ministry at Great Hope Baptist Church in Richmond.
Tremayne was educated in the Richmond Public Schools. He attended Ephesus Jr. Academy and Elkhardt Middle School. He graduated from Huguenot High School in June 2008. He loved playing football, listening to music and his cell phone.
Tremayne leaves to cherish his memory; one daughter whom he loved so very much, Trinity LaDiamond Martin; one son, Anthony T. Martin of Richmond, Virginia; a loving and caring mother, Jennifer Robinson; a loving, caring and devoted custodial grandmother, Bethel Martin; a very helpful and understanding surrogate grandfather, Neal Washington; three brothers, Antonio Childers, Tayquan and Trevonte Robinson; a little sister who was the joy of his life, Rachelle Robinson, all of Richmond, Virginia; a nephew, Markell Scott; a niece, Deneisha Straughter; a great grandmother, Mary Jones; two aunts, Damicka Carrington and Tamme Haskins; four uncles, Raymond Haskins, Richard Robinson, Dwayne Eggleston (who was his riding partner) and Christopher (Latoka) Martin (who was an uncle father figure to him); ten great aunts, Helen Moseley, Georgia Harrison, Doris Booker and Mary Person all of Amelia, Virginia; Mary Johnson (Ricky) of Snow Hill, MD, Linda Murray, Jennifer Williams, Judy Brar, Susan Haskins and Sheridan Hayden all of Richmond, Virginia; one great uncle, James Banks; devoted cousins Dimetria Clay, Bertrome Booker, Tony Martin and Jimmy Holiday; several great-great aunts and uncles, many cousins, relatives and lots and lots of close friends, among them Chancellor (Chance) Price. (Friends and classmates please stand.)
Tremayne loved and enjoyed his children and family. He was a kind, loving, mannerly person and he kept a smile that never changed and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Tremayne will be on view Thursday, January 15, 2009 until 8:00 P.M. at Manning Funeral Service Inc., 700 N. 25th St., Richmond, VA.
Funeral Services Friday, January 16, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at Great Hope Baptist Church, 1201 Venable St., Richmond, VA with interment in the Flower Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia, VA.
