Obituary for Annie B. Delaney
Peacefully on Friday afternoon, July 15, 2011, at 2:45pm an angel came and said, "Come home my child."Â Annie entered into eternal rest wih her loved one by her side.
Annie was born on July 30, 1935 ot Lillian Dotson and Charley Barley in Amelia county, Virginia. She was baptized and became a member of the Little Union Baptist Church were she remained active until her health began to fail. She loved her church family.
Annie was joined in holy matrimony to Bobby Delaney and out of this union nine children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Charley Barley; a daughter, Mildred Trent; two sons; three brothers, Ernest, Sherman and Eddie Barley; one great grandchild.
Annie leaves to cherish her memory:Â four sons, Larry, Alfred, Bobby and Maurice; two daughters, Mary Ann Hill (Tyrone) and Anna Marie Bates (John); one sister, Lucy Anderson (George); four brothers, Morven (Lillian), Randal (Lucy), Robert (Alice) and William Barley; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who loved her with a passion; cousins and other relatives; a devoted friend, Rosa Robinson; best friend and cousin, Vera Gibson; a compassionate friend Wendell, and all of her friends at Amelia Nursing Center.
Funeral Services Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Little Union Baptist Church, Amelia with intement in the church cemetery.
