Obituary for Anita W. Bush
Anita Sylvenne White Bush was born on March 4, 1936 to William H. Sr. and Alice Giles White in Amelia, VA who preceded her in death. She departed this life on April 2, 2018.
Anita attended and graduated from Mannboro Elementary and Russell Grove HS in Amelia. She graduated from Johnson C. Smith University in NC, majoring in Religion & Psychology. She then moved to New York where she continued her education at Westchester Community College, Manhattan College and Cumberland Hospital which led to her acquiring many medical licenses and certifications such as the State of NY Department of Health Radiologic Technologists, Clinical Laboratory Technician and Computed Tomography to name a few. She was also a licensed State of Florida Radiologist Technologists. Anita worked for several medical facilities in NY and Florida, making great use of her extensive education and training.
Anita accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Branches Runn Baptist Church. Throughout her life, whereever she lived, Anita faithfully served the Lord. She has served as Church Clerk, Treasurer, Choir member, and Church School Teacher. Upon returning to Amelia in 2007, Anita became associated with several churches and then joined Mt Level Baptist Church where she served as a Missionary until her health declined.
Anita was married to a loving husband, Freeman Bush of NY who preceded her in death and together raised her wonderful son David Bronsley White.
Anita was also preceded in death by her brothers Ulysees, James, Racior, John, Joseph, William Jr, and Morris; sisters Catherine, Allene and Harriet.
Anita leaves to cherish her memories: son David White (Tracy) of Tampa, FL; grandsons David White Jr of NJ & Isiah White of FL; great granddaughter Ab’brielle White of NJ; goddaughter Leslie Warrick of NJ; sister Queen Anderson of Amelia; sister in-law Delseta White of NJ; nieces Geraldyne Owens (Joseph) & Tonette Howell (Victor) of Amelia who were her care givers, Amber Hillard (Harold) of NJ, Geneva Cummins (Winston) & Jaseth Anderson (Elmore) of NY; nephews Harold Mann & Racior Cavole (Deborah) of CA, William Cavole (Willa) & Harry Cavole (Debrah) of MO, Linwood Anderson of NY, Michael White of Richmond, VA, “adopted family” LaShandra Tucker-Abel and son Joel Tucker, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Level Baptist Church, Amelia. Interment church cemetery.
