Obituary for Angela Pritchett Staten
Angela Denise Pritchett-Staten was born on April 23, 1963. She was the daughter of the late James and Lucille Pritchett. She departed this life on May 13, 2022, surrounded by family. She was married to the late Joseph Staten whom she loved and cared for dearly. She attended Nottoway High School and went on to attend Rutledge College in Richmond where she succeeded in making the dean's list. She loved playing a variety of sports, including softball with the Mean Machine as a first base player. Over the years she worked at a variety of jobs which included Clay's Assisted Living Facility in the Food Service Department and at Fort Pickett in the Housekeeping department. She rededicated her life to Christ at Union Baptist Church and she also overcame cancer more than 14 years ago.
Angela was a phenomenal person and she will be missed immensely. She always had her own way of saying certain things and making others laugh. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.Â
Angela is preceded in death by her sisters, Vivian Pritchett-Casper, Gloria Pritchett-Fitzgerald, Cynthia Pritchett-Neal, and her brother Edward Lee Pritchett.
Angela leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters Letisia and Alaetra Pritchett; her brother, James Pritchett; her sister, Janet Wilson (Charles); eight grandchildren Kyra, Kyron, Ahnayah, Thomas III, Jaden Desmond, Azaya, Elijah; and 3 great-grandchildren Aleiah, Amiyah, and Akela and a host of other aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, and friends.
