Andrew Morgan (Parrot), 71, passed away on October 21, 2025, at MCV Hospital, surrounded by his daughters. Andrew was born December 28, 1953, to the late Julia Morgan Johnson. Andrew was preceded in death by his mother Julia Johnson, brother Milton, his special aunt/mom, Janelle Morgan, special uncle, William (Smiley) Morgan, sister/cousin Delores Holmes, and other relatives.
Andrew served in the US Army and the VA National Guard, later working as a mechanic until a stroke ended his career. He joined Poplar Lawn Baptist Church, where he served for a short period in the choir. A quiet and humble man, Andrew loved fishing, reading, and watching Westerns, especially "Gunsmoke." He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and an accomplished short stop baseball player. Andrew was a lifelong member of the “Soul Drifter’s Motorcycle Club “. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Andrew managed his illness with strength and grace.
Andrew leaves to cherish his memories his devoted daughters, Julia Johnson, and Krystle Hicks (Christopher), One grandson, Khamani Johnson, three granddaughters, KhaMesha Johnson, KhaMora and KhaMari Hicks. One sister, Myra Morgan, four brothers, James, Eric, Kenneth, and Isaac Johnson, cousins who grew up together as siblings, Dorena Stokes (Robert), Clarence Morgan, and Jerome Morgan. One uncle, Leroy Morgan (Louise), Baltimore, MD, two aunts, Ellen Cummings, Baltimore, Md. and Mamie Morgan, Blackstone, VA., sister-in-law, Virginia Morgan, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and his family of friends at Magnolia’s Place where he lived for over 30 years
