Obituary for Alvin P. Robertson
Alvin was born in Crewe, VA to Barbara Robertson and Edward Ward. He departed this life on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
He attended Richmond public schools. Alvin was employed as a chef at Momo’s in Richmond, he loved cooking just as much as he enjoyed being with his family.
No matter what the family was doing, he was there to help you. Whether you needed him or not, and more likely than...NOT!, but by the time you’re done you are glad he was there to help. Alvin just had a gift of always interjecting himself into whatever was going on no matter what it was or were we was going…Alvin was going too. (Riding Out) as we use to call it when we would travel to Jersey or Philly, or with his brother Edward working with hm on a job somewhere 100 feet in the air, Alvin was fearless, didn’t matter to him as long as he was taking part in it.
Alvin was preceded in death by his father, Edward Ward; grandmother, Edith Delaney; grandfather, Amsted Delaney (Joe Clark); great grandparents, Ida and William Robertson (Bill Tee); uncle, Leroy Delaney; and nephew, Tyrese Robertson.
Alvin leaves behind a lifetime of memories with his mother, Barbara Robertson; a daughter, Shuwanda Robertson; three granddaughters, Antonia and Skakoya Robertson, and Ariyana Coleman; brothers, Edward, Cleveland, Tracy; sisters, Brenda, Mary, Rochelle, Christine Ward, Evelyn Benjamin; uncles, Bernard, William, Larry Delaney, Charkie Ward, Freddie Robertson; aunts, Maxine and Carolyn Delaney, Barbara Atkins and Doris Ward; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that he contributed to spoiling.
