Obituary for Alvin E. Williams
On Thursday, July 24, 2014, Alvin E. Williams closed the last chapter in his book of life. He has advanced from labor to reward. He was born October 17, 1962 to James and Mollie Williams of Burkeville, VA, who preceded him in death.
He was educated in the Nottoway County Schools. He worked various jobs, including the Town of Burkeville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Williams, but leaves to cherish his memory:Â four children and two others whom he loved as his own, Alvin Jr. (Carly), Rashaun, Kimberly, Raven, Stacy and Tiffany; five grandchildren and three others whom he loved as his own, Carmen, Rayshauna, Raquan, Kenneth, Rayveon, LaQuoya, SaNiyah and TyZhon; four sisters, Hattie Divens, Barbara Diggs (Mike), Mable Dodson (David) and Vanessa Carroll (Charles); two brothers, James and Russell Williams; seventeen nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; one devoted friend, Avis Johnson.
 Funeral Services Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, Burkeville with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
