Alex Stevenson, Jr.., was born to Alex and Easter Tillman Stevenson on October 4, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Johnston Willis Medical Center in Richmond, VA.
Alex was employed in New York and New Jersey where he performed odd jobs and worked with his father. Later in life he moved to Virginia where he worked at Tyson for several years before becoming disabled. He always had a loveable demeanor and was a helping hand whenever he was around friends and family. Alex enjoyed watching sports, especially his beloved New York Giants.
Alex was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Esther Stevenson; his brothers, James Smith, Robert Smith, Rudolph Stevenson, Darence Stevenson and Jeffery Stevenson. He is survived by his brothers, Victor Stevenson and Eric Stevenson (Romona) of Brooklyn, NY; a sister Supporia Smith of Burkeville, VA; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, great great- great nieces and nephews; a beloved friend, Carletha Jennings; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Nottoway Baptist Church, Crewe, Virginia. Interment: First Nottoway Baptist Church Cemetery.
