Obituary for Albert Vereen, Jr.
Albert Lee Vereen, Jr., widely known to family and friends as “Izod”, “Iz” or “Zod” and beloved son was born to Roena Elizabeth & Albert Lee Vereen, Sr.(deceased) in Brooklyn, New York on June 28, 1966 at Unity Hospital in East New York. Izod unexpectedly went to be with our Lord on February 16, 2019 at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC.
No one who knew Izod could forget his adventurous and stylish nature from his earlier years. His infectious personality resonated with family and friends alike. He had an eye for fashion, particularly Lacoste Izod, which came to be his nickname “Izod”.
Izod was the second oldest of his siblings, after his brother Rodney N. Vereen and before his brother Lysanders Vereen. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, his brothers, his two daughters LaTiqua Vereen and Taleyia Vereen, his grandchildren Anthony, Jasena, CamRon and Neilson, his sister-in-law Crystal, his nephews Justin and Cameron, his niece Maya, his great-niece Jayla and a host of cousins, family members and friends.
